Discuss the assistance you need
Contact Notaryspace with a brief description of the dispute and the help you are seeking. Tell us whether you are considering a claim, responding to one or dealing with a document request in an existing case. Our office will confirm the available scope, attendance arrangements and fee before you proceed.
Prepare a useful summary
- The full legal names of the people or businesses involved.
- A short timeline of what happened and the outcome you are seeking.
- The amount in dispute and how you calculated it.
- Any claim number, court location, scheduled event or deadline.
- The particular document or task with which you need help.
Keep the first enquiry concise. Ask how to provide sensitive case documents and avoid sending unrelated personal records. Contacting the office does not itself file a claim, deliver a defence or change a court deadline.
Organize the supporting records
Keep contracts, invoices, payment records, correspondence, photographs and court documents in date order. Retain originals and work from copies when preparing a summary. Label records so they can be matched to the events in your timeline. Bring any written court directions relating to the task you want to discuss.
Forms and sworn statements
Use current prescribed court forms for your stage of the case. If a form requires an affidavit or declaration, complete the factual details but leave signing and commissioning sections for the appointment. A generic text template should not replace a required court form.
Official resources and next steps
Read the court’s starting and responding to a case guidance and Ontario’s Small Claims Court procedures. Requirements depend on your stage and circumstances. Contact the office to discuss the service you need.
