What should I bring?
Bring the complete document, the recipient’s written instructions and valid government-issued photo identification. For a certified true copy, bring the original. Tell our office in advance if there are multiple signers, attachments, a foreign-language document or a submission deadline.
Should I sign beforehand?
Leave documents requiring witnessed signatures, oaths or declarations unsigned until the authorized person instructs you. You can prepare the factual fields before your appointment. If you have already signed, contact the office before booking so the next step can be confirmed.
Can I obtain a certified true copy online?
Notaryspace provides certified true copies in person only. A scan or video of a paper document does not replace inspection of the complete original at the appointment.
Choosing a service
Are remote commissioning and notarization the same service?
Ontario permits remote administration of eligible oaths and declarations under specific conditions. Ontario’s notary guidance requires physical presence for notarization under the Notaries Act. Confirm the act your recipient needs before choosing an appointment. Read Ontario’s notary guidance.
How much is attestation?
The listed attestation fee is CAD $37.95. Confirm the total for your selected services, including any additional documents or processing, when booking. Apostille and legalization enquiries require details of the documents and destination.
Which template should I use?
Search Templates & Forms by document name or form number. Connected PDF builders download the actual form with your answers. General document builders create drafts. Follow a recipient’s prescribed form rather than substituting a general template.
Does notarization guarantee acceptance abroad?
The destination authority determines its requirements. Ask whether it needs an original, certified copy, translation, apostille or consular legalization. Use Find Your Country to begin checking the route.
How do I change an appointment or ask another question?
Contact the office with your booking reference and the change you need. Confirm new arrangements before travelling or joining an online appointment.
